It’s always GREATER in Granbury July 4th! The Granbury Chamber of Commerce proudly presents the Annual Old-Fashioned 4th of July Celebration. Each year the Chamber designs and manages this festival that brings over 50,000 people to Granbury and Hood County to celebrate our nation’s independence!
Many activities are associated with this Celebration. Below is a description of each event.
Art & Craft Booths
Historic Downtown Square
Granbury’s Historic Downtown Square hosts over 100 booths containing homemade and hand-embellished items ranging from jewelry to barbwire art from vendors accross Texas and the nation.

Delicious Food
Historic Downtown Square Come indulge in your favorite festival foods on the square and the exceptional restaurants around the square all within walking distance. Hometown Parade
Downtown Granbury Reserve your spot early for the Hometown Parade featuring floats and entries from 100 businesses and organizations.
Parade Route
Parade pushes from Granbury High School at 10 a.m. and heads east on Pearl Street, around the square and west on Bridge Street to completion. Tom Ward Memorial Decorated Bike Contest Prior to the Hometown Parade, kids of all ages can bring their decorated bikes, wagons and strollers to win a $50 savings bond and then join the parade around the square. Enjoy toe-tapping live entertainment in the new Granbury Square Plaza.

Shanley Park
Kids and adults have a blast competing in old-fashioned games including the sack race, egg toss, cow chip throwing and many more. This is one of our most popular family events!
"Bulls and Broncs" Rodeo
Reunion Grounds
Grab your cowboy hat and spurs and head out to the
Reunion Grounds for bullriding and bronc riding
rodeo. This favorite family event will get
you up on your feet hollering "Yee-Haw!"
Stick around after the rodeo for the best seat
in the country for the fireworks show! Talley Amusements Carnival Rides
This is the best carnival in the country enjoyed at the State Fair of Texas and throughout the nation. Bring the kids out to ride the choo-choo train and treat yourself to a Ferris Wheel ride for the best view of Granbury. And bring your pitching arm and take home some prizes. FIREWORKS
Over Lake Granbury
